Father Style Is Now Easier To Navigate!

I wanted to let you guys know that Father Style is now much easier to navigate than before!

Back when this site was fairly small, there wasn’t a need to categorize my articles. Now that FS is approaching over 200 articles, I wanted to make it easier for you to find pieces that interest you WITHOUT having to wade through 20 pages.

I have split up all my articles into categories and placed them in the drop-down menu at the top left of the page, for mobile users…

and across the top of the page for desktop users…

Yes, I realize the formatting on the desktop view is a little skewed, and that is something I am in the process of fixing.

You can also access the categories by clicking on the little category name in the title of each article. That will bring up all the articles within that category.

As you can see, the categories for my articles are…

Menswear

This category (along with “Parenting”) predictably forms the backbone of this site. The articles you’ll find in the “Menswear” category are things like my guide to black tie, essential jackets for fall, and what should be included in your EDC.

Parenting

This category includes all my articles about fatherhood, marriage, and family dynamics. I have also included articles about lessons I’ve learned throughout life. If an article didn’t quite fit within “Menswear”, since it was more of a musing or meditation on something related to life in general, you’ll find it here.

Outfit Of The Week

This category contains ALL my “OOTW”s in one convenient place!

Style Icons

Here, you’ll find all my “Under-Appreciated Style Icons” articles. Some past subjects include Jimmy Stewart and Calvin’s dad.

The Case Against…

This is where you will find all my articles where I take some “darling” of menswear (a piece of clothing, not a person) and break down why it’s probably not worth your time or money. Past subjects include denim jackets, henleys, and white sneakers.

Product Reviews

Pretty self-explanatory. Head to this category if you want to see reviews of products like Rancourt’s Acadia Chukka boots or Beckett Simonon shoes.

I am excited for these changes, as they will allow you guys to navigate the site much more easily and, hopefully, find stuff that you find helpful or insightful (or even stuff you’ve never read before).

As always, let me know what you think!
