Outfit Of The Week 5/18/25 – 5/24/25

The weather continues to be super weird in my neck of the woods!

Last weekend was my youngest son’s birthday party. Rain threatened all day, but, thankfully, held off during the hours of the party. It actually was quite sunny and warm, which was nice, since it meant the kiddos could spend most of the time outside.

I was even able to wear a breezy combination of polo shirt-khakis-boat shoes-sunglasses for the event!

This past week, though, has been downright autumn-like! Temperatures have been in the mid-40s accompanied by a persistent drizzle.

I took this opportunity to bust out some cold-weather attire for probably the final time this season!

Oh, I also had my annual performance review for my job. I work remotely, so this was done via camera, but I still needed to look put-together.

I decided to wear a blue oxford-cloth button-down shirt under a burgundy, cashmere, v-neck sweater.

Down below, I wore navy, corduroy pants and brown boots (which I shined since they had been in storage since I bought my loggers last fall).

My outerwear consisted of my Barbour jacket and my brown, tweed, newsboy cap.

I’m glad I chose a hearty jacket and hat for the day, as my son insisted that I push him on the swings at the park for about thirty minutes at the end of the day. Why is it that often kids’ “playing” involves us parents doing most of the work?

Next week is forecasted to be similarly strange. Honestly, I’m not hating it. I always dread the onset of the sweltering heat so I’m glad it’s been a bit chillier than normal.

This coming weekend we are doing a belated Mother’s Day celebration. I look forward to sharing in next week’s “OOTW” what I decide to wear.

Have a wonderful weekend!
