Outfit Of The Week 3/1/26 – 3/7/26
Another crazy week at work!… Which is why this week’s edition of “OOTW” is a little later than normal.
This outfit was actually one I wore a couple weeks ago that I have wanting to feature ever since. My wife and I had off for President’s Day and decided to go out for a nice lunch date. The kids, though, still had school for some reason. This meant that my wife and I actually had some uninterrupted time together in the middle of the day.

Out favorite nice lunch spot is the restaurant of a small, local hotel. They do an amazing eggs benedict!
Usually for a day like that, I would wear a jacket and tie. But it had snowed recently and the middle of town was rather icy and treacherous. Because of that, I wanted to wear my heavy logger boots since they have the best traction of all my footwear. I didn’t feel like logger boots married well with a tie, so I decided to dress a little more casually.
Instead of a jacket, I wore a thick, burgundy, wool sweater from Brooks Brothers my wife got me as a Christmas gift a couple years ago. I also wore navy, corduroy pants, a leather flight jacket and a tweed cap.

This, in my mind, is a perfect example of the “Elevated Casual” that so many are going for. Most guys aren’t like me and wanting to wear tailoring everywhere. Most guys just want to look good and have people just think “He looks handsome.” as opposed to “Why is that guy so dressed up?”
This outfit is exactly that.

Even though it looks thoughtful and put-together, it’s still rugged and masculine with the boots, thick cords, heavy sweater, and leather jacket. To me, this outfit screams “capability”.
After a large lunch, my wife and I strolled around town. It was a lovely day!
Have a wonderful (and restful weekend)!

My wife’s hair is taking over in this pic!
