Outfit Of The Week 6/28/26 – 7/4/26

This week’s edition of “OOTW” is actually a compilation of outfits I wore on a handful of family outings recently.

The reason I wanted to highlight these outfits is because they showcase exactly what I was getting at in my “OOTW” from a couple weeks ago. In that article I said that having a handful of shirts hanging at-the-ready is a really great way to stay stylish, even when the temps are high.

Today’s article put all of that into practice.

As you all know, it’s been pretty hot lately. Despite the heat, I like to wear full-length pants instead of shorts. I think they look better, but they also protect my legs from the sun and from bug bites.

My shirts are usually short-sleeved sport shirts which are awesome for casual wear but can be tucked-in for when you need to look a bit more presentable. Because of that, they are fantastic for traveling during the summer.

And in fabrics like linen, they are much more practical than regular cotton t-shirts. I was drenched in sweat the other day as we hauled the kids around the zoo but my shirt dried in no time.

I’ll also toss a polo shirt or two into the mix.

You’ll also notice that I hardly go anywhere in the summer without my trusty Panama hat. A lot of guys are kind of at a loss for what kind of hat to wear in the summer (that’s not a baseball cap), since they feel a Panama hat is too “dressed up” to wear with casual clothes. Well, here I am wearing it with jeans and boots and it looks perfectly fine.

Rounding out my outfits is my pair of $13 sunglasses. Summers are hectic and the last thing I want to worry about is losing or breaking expensive shades. Give me the cheap ones any day.

That’s all I have for now! The past few weeks have been a real whirlwind with work and the kids on summer vacation and all. I hope all you guys are hanging in there!

Next week I’ll showcase what I plan to wear for Independence Day! Hint: seersucker and a straw boater hat will definitely be involved. Stay tuned.

Happy July 4th!
