Outfit Of The Week 9/14/25 – 9/20/25

This week’s edition of “OOTW” features the first time I have worn this particular suit out in public! The occasion was the dinner portion of a birthday celebration for a good friend of ours.

I got this suit over five years ago and intended to wear it to the wedding of my wife’s sister and her husband. Unfortunately, the first tailoring job was botched horribly and since it was during the pandemic, I wasn’t able to have it fixed in order to wear it to the wedding.

I am pleased that I have since gotten it properly altered and can now wear it! Honestly, it’s one of my favorite suits.

The color is a touch softer than navy, but not quite royal blue. That fact makes it feel different from my other blue suits which are all navy. This suit actually looks really good in warmer weather considering its lighter-than-navy hue, but I would also readily wear it during the colder months as the color isn’t so light as to scream “summer suit”.

I also like the pick stitching on the lapel. None of my other suits have that.

With the suit, I wore a burgundy grenadine tie, a striped shirt, and black shoes.

I generally don’t wear a patterned shirt with a suit, but this shirt’s pattern was sober enough (and I didn’t have time to iron my white, French-cuff shirt before dinner).

All in all, it was a lovely evening!

Have a wonderful weekend!
