Outfit Of The Week 3/8/26 – 3/14/26
This week’s edition of “OOTW” is a very cozy, comfortable ensemble I wore while working from home on a day I also attended my youngest son’s chorus concert.
The concert itself was obviously NOT a formal occasion and it would have been a little weird had I showed up in a jacket and tie. I live in a very rural area, after all. Most of the other dads are showing up to events like these in the muddy boots and hoodies they wore to work.
Still, I wanted to look a little nice without standing out too much.
Another consideration was that where I live is now in the beginning of the time of year that we all affectionately call “Mud Season”. It’s the time when all the snow is melting and the deluge of water ruins the roads and everyone’s driveways. Because of this, I wanted to wear my logger boots so that my feet weren’t soaked as a walked to the car.
Ok, so heavy boots. What to wear with them and still appear at least a little put-together?
I decided on navy, corduroy pants, a chunky cardigan, and an oxford shirt. I unfortunately didn’t get a picture of the leather flight jacket and tweed cap I used for outerwear.

In the pictures here of the pants, you can also see my slippers. I just bought a new pair of slippers as I was due. I usually go through slippers at a rate of a pair every two years. Restart the clock! These are Ugg Ascots and they are my go-to slippers. I will probably write a review of them soon.
The oxford shirt I wore was a gift from my wife for Valentine’s Day. I have wanted a pink oxford shirt for some time as I think they look excellent with the tweeds I habitually wear.
The cardigan is a blue-and-white, cotton cardigan from Brooks Brothers. I actually put on an oatmeal-colored cardigan first, but then decided on the blue one as I felt it looked better against the pink shirt.
I feel like this outfit is another great example of “Elevated Casual”. And honestly, I could wear this outfit all day every day. It’s so comfortable that I completely forget I am wearing a tucked-in, collared shirt and proper pants.
Have a wonderful weekend!
