Outfit Of The Week 7/12/26 – 7/18/26
You know, a lot guys get heartburn over trying to dress well in the summer. I get it. A lot of cool menswear involves things like sweaters, jackets, boots, tweed, suits, hats, and other things that are a bit better suited for cooler weather.
But it’s still possible to have fun with your clothes in summer!
Case in point, this week’s edition of “OOTW”, which features my seersucker suit from Brooks Brothers.

My wife bought me this suit way back during the pandemic, so I wasn’t able to wear it since I couldn’t get it tailored at the time. Over the past few years, though, I have been inserting it into my regular summer rotation.
The other night, my wife and I took advantage of the fact that my in-laws agreed to supervise our children for a couple hours and went for a few after-dinner drinks.
I mentioned this occasion in one of my last articles. It was a lovely night and I received more than a few compliments on my suit.
With the suit, I wore a white, French cuff shirt, a burgundy, grenadine tie, and a red-white-and-blue pocket square (since it was around Independence Day).

The first bar we visited was quite warm, but it’s remarkable how effective seersucker (especially unlined seersucker) is at keeping the wearer as cool as possible. Even on a hot, muggy evening, I was very comfortable. The ice-cold martini helped, too.

It’s fun wearing fun clothes. Too many men feel timid, get stuck, and never wear the things they want.
Just go for it, man. Wear the cool thing! No one is making fun of you or judging you.
Have a wonderful weekend!
