Outfit Of The Week 1/11/26 – 1/17/26

For this week’s “OOTW”, I’d like to feature what I wore during a visit to the office a few days ago.

I love living in the Northeast. I can be in midtown Manhattan during the day but then back in the middle of the woods by the evening (even though I sometimes have to dodge random wildlife on the drive home).

One of the main reasons I had to drop into the office was because we were all meeting our new CEO.

What to wear for such an event?!

Well, in preparation, I began thinking of things I haven’t worn in a while. Maybe dress a little more formally?

As different ideas rolled around in my head, I began to get a little fatigued as I wasn’t really landing on anything.

Then I said to myself… I’m just going to keep it simple.

Just like I stated in my last article, I decided that what I wanted to “say” in this particular instance was that I am capable, steady, and reliable.

So, because of that, I decided to wear my tried-and-true, herringbone, tweed, sport coat (accompanied by a white, linen pocket square) with a blue, oxford-cloth-button-down shirt, and khaki pants.

Pretty much as simple as you can get! Nothing fancy. Nothing fussy. Just handsome and classic.

Sometimes we can get in our heads a bit with what to wear, can’t we? In those moments it feels so good to just fall back on something simple that we know works! Those of us who like clothes sometimes feel like we need to get creative or change things up with how we dress. But sometimes we just need to go with our reliable workhorses.

This outfit could be my “ghost clothes” and I’d be perfectly happy with it.

Unfortunately, for you guys, I was only able to grab photos in the elevator and in a weird little work booth (I popped in there to jump on a call), which means the lighting kind of sucks. But you all know what a tweed jacket looks like.

Anyway, even though I LOVE working remotely (and it has improved my life considerably) it’s never bad to get some face-time with the CEO.

Next week I will feature some formal, dressed-up deliciousness! Same bat-time, same bat-channel!

Have a wonderful weekend!
