Outfit Of The Week 11/16/25 – 11/22/25

Another day, another dollar!

I popped into the office recently.

The weather in NYC that day was surprisingly windy and chilly with a few flurries! This week’s edition of “OOTW” features the outfit I wore that day.

I hardly ever feel the need to wear an overcoat in NYC. It’s just never THAT cold. This time was no different. The sweater and sport coat provided enough insulation.

It’s really the accessories that make the difference. I would have felt much colder had I not had my hat, scarf, and gloves (which I forgot to get pictures of).

The sport coat was my beloved grey, herringbone tweed from Brooks Brothers. I never get tired of wearing this thing.

My green, v-neck sweater is from Orvis and was a gift from my wife a few years ago.

I wore a yellow striped oxford shirt (from Lands’ End) under the sweater (which was a gift from my in-laws). I really like how the yellow looks against the green of the sweater. Some men are uncomfortable wearing any shirt color other than white or blue, but it’s worth it to venture out into other colors.

Down below, I wore khakis and my Beckett Simonon Dunham Derbies.

The hat is a grey check pattern in a wool and cashmere blend with a quilted lining. The tag actually says it’s waterproof, which I think is actually true, as I have worn it in heavy rain before and the water didn’t penetrate.

My scarf was a red wool plaid I got from Blarney Woollen Mills in Ireland almost 20 years ago.

My gloves were black leather with a fur lining from Ugg that my wife bought for me a while back. They’re wonderful for keeping my hands warm while carrying my bag, or a cup of coffee.

Just trying to power through the final weeks of the year! Stay tuned over the next few weeks for some holiday-themed attire.

Have a wonderful weekend!
