Outfit Of The Week 11/2/25 – 11/8/25

This week’s edition of “OOTW” features a handful of very cozy items which were perfect for all the wind, drizzle, and little bit of snow we had this past week!

This outfit is also a really good example of “elevated casual” that a lot of guys find difficult to nail.

The navy, corduroy pants and burgundy sweater anchor the look. Both of those items I received as gifts from my wife in recent years.

The sweater is a great mid-weight piece. It’s not as chunky as my Aran cable-knits, but it’s a little more substantial than a thinner merino I might wear under a sport coat. It fills a similar space in my wardrobe as my travel sweater.

I love these corduroy pants! Cords are a great alternative to jeans (if you’re looking for one). They are insanely comfortable and don’t look enough like dress pants to elicit the dreaded “Woah, why are you so dressed up?!”

Under the sweater I wore my Lands’ End Hyde Park oxford shirt that I will never ever get rid of until it literally disintegrates and falls off my body.

My footwear was utilitarian, which worked just fine with the ruggedness of the pants and sweater.

The outerwear I donned consisted of a wool/cashmere cap and my waxed jacket (with wool lining). It’s getting close to the time when I will need to start wearing thicker coats!

In the coming weeks, be prepared to see some more wintery/holiday-leaning ensembles. My wife even began decorating the house for Christmas (and bought some eggnog)! We’re definitely getting into the spirit of the season!

Have a wonderful weekend!
