Outfit Of The Week 11/30/25 – 12/6/25

This week’s edition of “OOTW” is from a day a little while ago before we got hit with about 8 inches of snow. I wanted to make sure I featured it before the outfit become too incongruous with the weather and temperatures (which are definitely getting chilly).

The highlight of this outfit is the leather flight jacket in the G1 style. This jacket is from the company U.S. Wings and is the model they actually supply to the United States Coast Guard, apparently.

I wrote an article about this jacket last year. I said it’s probably the best all-around, cold-weather jacket for dads given its handsomeness and utility.

On this particular day, my wife and I brought the kids to the park. I had the day off, but my wife didn’t so she worked remotely from the truck (since we had plans afterwards) while I supervised the children. It was cold and windy so I needed a layer that blocked the breeze. The leather jacket was the perfect choice.

Under it, I wore a grey, flannel shirt from Vermont Flannel Company (tucked in). I also wore jeans (the only ones I own) and a grey, tweed flat cap.

Even though temperatures have plummeted since this day, I still plan on wearing my leather jacket throughout the winter as it’s roomy enough to layer thick sweaters under.
