Outfit Of The Week 1/18/26 – 1/24/26

This is a fun one!

This week’s edition of “OOTW” features what I wore this past weekend when my wife and I celebrated our eleventh wedding anniversary!

We also kind of combined the evening with a belated New Year’s Eve celebration since my wife was sick a couple weeks ago and we didn’t get to ring in the new year the way we normally do: dressed to the nines!

I wrote a while back about how to do an awesome at-home date night with your wife and I employed many of those tactics in this instance.

My outfit for the evening consisted of the tuxedo I wore on the night before our wedding eleven years ago, during our rehearsal dinner.

The dinner suit has all the proper goodies, like one-button, no vent, and no pocket-flaps. It’s midnight blue and the jacket features a shawl collar. The option of the link-closure on the jacket is a fun one!

With the shawl collar, sometimes I find that shawls can be a little TOO wide and emphasize the wearer’s midsection in an unflattering way. I like that the version I am wearing doesn’t do that. Sure, the collar could be considered a little slim for some, but for me, it looks pretty middle-of-the-road.

For accessories, I wore a black cummerbund, velvet bowtie (I love how chunky it is!), and the cufflinks, studs, and Bulova watch (which I didn’t get a picture of) I wore on my wedding day.

For dinner, my wife made me a lobster tail and seared scallops. It was an amazing night!

Have a wonderful weekend!
